  • Your holiday in the Val d’Ajol invites you to discover a unique region combining nature, mountains, heritage and local crafts. There are many activities to discover!

    Village du Val d’Ajol

This charming village has a strong historical past whose legacy is expressed today through its gastronomic heritage. The Val d’Ajol is classified as a Remarkable Taste Site and is keen to preserve its old-fashioned dishes. Among them, you cannot miss the local andouille. This is celebrated through a fair held every year on the third Monday of February, since 1831, bringing together various service providers in a festive and rural atmosphere. You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to taste it in one of the typical restaurants of the Val d’Ajol or by stopping in the small producers’ shops. Today, this village shines through its crafts. Rich in cultural heritage, no less than 145 crosses are listed, including 3 classified as Historic Monuments. During your walk, you will see the church with its listed objects (altarpiece, pedestal, Christ on the cross, pulpit), the Priory of Hérival (former monastery), the chalots (typical farm annex of the Vosges Saônoises), the lava roofs typical of the region. The Val d’Ajol is also the key stage and access to more than 150 kms of hiking trails in the area. In July, the village hosts the “Le Pied Orange” festival: 3 days of festivities with concerts, street entertainment and a market of producers and craftsmen.

    Faymont waterfall and hiking trail

6 kms from the campsite, enjoy a magnificent hiking circuit inviting you to discover and admire this waterfall, in the heart of the forest. This route offers you a 3 hour walk (9kms) between the Val d’Ajol and Plombières-les-Bains, for a real nature break. This circuit is suitable for all levels.

    Waterfall of Géhard

If you extend your tour (10 km from the campsite), another natural wonder awaits you. The Géhard waterfall has its source at the Moulin Picard and can be seen from several signposted walking routes.

    Etang de la Drague

For fishing and nature lovers, go to the Etang de la Drague. This pond was once a quarry (dug out in the 20th century) for a textile factory, now converted into a fisherman’s paradise.

    Thermal spas

For our spa holidaymakers, a whole range of treatments is available in the vicinity of the campsite: there are many spa towns to discover. Among them, the thermal baths of Plombières-les-Bains at 10 kms, the thermal baths of Luxeuil-les-Bains at 20 kms, the thermal baths of Bains-les-Bains at 30 kms. For a rejuvenating holiday!

    Tee’Voli Park

On the sports side, the Tee’Voli Park in Plombières-les-Bains (12 minutes from the campsite by car) offers numerous golf courses and various outdoor activities that will delight young and old alike: Football-Golf course (9 holes), Forest Croquet, Land-Art and Treasure Hunt. Picnic area and outdoor chess game.

    Accro’Branche at Jardins en Terrasses

These original gardens are one of the must-see sites in the Vosges Méridionales. Combining relaxation and discovery, this real place of life is full of activities to enjoy an outdoor outing. Among the activities, try the Accro Terrasses (in Plombières-les-Bains): two accrobranche courses allowing you to walk in a green setting and to get enough height to admire the beautiful Vosges panoramas! Suitable for all levels, take part with your family or friends.
